crowd was light.

o Roy will do that.
• Next meeting is March 7, 2007.
Newsletter
• Leon suggested more discussion on our communication. How will we
distribute the newsletter?

class.
Consensus agreed with Lola and each class will distribute it.
• Will it go to everyone in the class?
o Lola suggested just to those in Kansas City.
o Barbara suggested sending to everyone (email and U.S. postal mail for those
without email) for the first issue and only email thereafter.
o Dick said to ask out-of-towners if they want to continue to receive by U.S.
postal mail or email.
o Lola suggested it also be sent to the classes of the twenties.
Treasurer
• Leon opened the floor for nominations.
o Baylor nominated Carole Hutchison and Kent moved nominations cease.
o Carole is the new treasurer.
• Carole will put Barbara and Leon’s name also on the checking account.
We’ll meet at Valley View Bank at 95th & Foster to sign the account cards.

o Barbara asked if a notice could go on the website also.
o Money should be given to Carole in the next month with a check payable to
Paseo Alliance.
• Lola asked how long can we run on this money?
o Consensus was a year.
o Baylor asked if we should take the monthly meeting place donation out of this
money. Consensus was no, we should continue taking a collection.
Website
• Leon reminded everyone to look at the website as it improves every week
and gets more beautiful (he actually said “beautifuller”) each time.
• Roy demoed the website and highlighted the new features.
• Discussion centered on an “all alliance” data base. No consensus.
• Roy showed a link for updating contact information. People can use a link on
the main page to that will send them a contact sheet to fill out.
• Also showed the Great Links page and solicited information about adding more
links.
• Showed the photo page and said he can add more. If we get flooded with
pictures he can add a page for each class.
o Showed the pictures from Baylor’s reunion. Baylor stated that the pictures of
each individual table were a big hit.
• Kent suggested a link showing a chart in hints and tips about navigating the
website.
o Roy said the left side of the screen is clickable but instructions may need to
be changed. Some rosters are hosted directly on the Alliance website and some
class rosters are hosted on their class website with just a link posted on the
Alliance site.
Alliance Name
• Baylor suggested eliminating the word “Fifties” from the Alliance name as
we are getting participation and interest beyond the fifties.
o Roy agreed (seconded) and the group agreed to call our group “The Paseo
Alliance.”
• Trudy asked if we want participation from classes beyond the fifties.
o Leon said he hopes it will grow and Roy agreed.
o Leon asked Kent for ideas.
Kent said he started with the fifties and sees no reason why others shouldn’t
join.
o Trudy said her mother graduated from Paseo in 1935 and an uncle in 1929.
Dick asked if her mother had any artifacts from that time.
• Kent stated that with future demographics and the Board of Education’s
position there may not always be a Paseo High School.
• General consensus was that all who want to join should be welcome.
Next Meeting
• March 7, 2007
• Invitation extended to Trudy’s committee.
• Baylor asked if others who want to attend these committee meetings are welcome
o Leon said YES emphatically.
Adjournment
• Leon adjourned the meeting at 2:22 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Barbara Bayley Herrin
