FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND THIS WEBSITE

Using the menu buttons near the top of the site's home page can get you where you want to go quickly and easily.  Just click on the button for the topic that you want.

The website is arranged in a top-down structure.  All major-topic pages are linked directly to the home page.  Pages that are part of a major topic are linked to the top page of that topic.  More detail can be found on lower level pages.

Here is how the home and major topic levels are arranged.  The lower-level boxes are the same as the buttons at the top of the home page  Notice the "+" signs on the 1950s Alliance and the Yearbooks boxes.  They indicate that there are more pages linked to those pages..

Here is the set of pages linked to the 1950s Alliance.  At the moment there are no pages below this level; however, more pages could be added later, either on this level or lower down.

Once you are at the major topic level or below, you will find a shortcut bar down the left side of each page.  While you are looking at the 1950's Alliance page you will see the shortcut bar at left.  It shows the pages above and below it, as well as the other pages in the same level of the structure.

The page that you are currently viewing (1950s Alliance) is listed in black, while the other pages are in one of the shortcut link colors.  The Parent Level shows the page above it, in this case the home page.  The Child Level shows the pages linked beneath the 1950s Alliance page.

The pages listed under this page level at left are those at the same level as the 1950s Alliance page.  In this case, those are the Class Contacts, Hints & Tips, and so on.  The actual pages shown here may have changed by the time that you read this, but the approach is the same.

Notice the Up shortcut link at the top of this page level.  Clicking that button will take you to the parent page to which the current page is connected.  If you were looking at the page called Meeting Photos, then it would be listed in the this page level part of the shortcut links, and the Up shortcut link would take you to the 1950s Alliance page

Each time that you pick a different page at the major topic level, you will see a different (or empty) list of pages at the Child Level.

SECRETS IN VIEWING PHOTOS IN INTERNET EXPLORER

Sometimes a photo displayed on a website is larger than the space available to show it in your web browser.  Later versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer are usually set to resize the images automatically to fill the available space.  This may result in print that is too small to read, or in images that are too small to view properly.

If you think that this may be the case, try resting your mouse pointer on top of the picture.  Take your hand off the mouse so that the pointer does not move.
If you do this properly, after a few seconds you will see this icon set on the top left corner of the picture.    Selecting the appropriate icon will allow you to save, print or email the picture.

If the photo is actually larger than it appears in your browser, you will also see the Enlarge or Fit Icon on the bottom right corner of the picture.     This will probably happen if you are looking at one of the faculty photos under the Yearbook topic.  Clicking on that icon will cause the picture to expand to its natural size, and you will then have to scroll up, down, or sideways to see parts of the picture.  To get the picture back to a size that fits your browser, rest your mouse pointer on the picture again.  This time the Enlarge or Fit icon will look like the following, and will resize the picture to fit in your browser window.

Here is an example picture with the icons in place.
