55th Reunion

Anyone ever a part of the Class of 1957 is always a classmate and one of the Alumni.

Our class will have a 55th Reunion weekend at the Marriott Overland Park from September 7-9, 2012.  Put a note on your calendar and make your reservations today.  We are looking forward to seeing you and every other classmate who is able to make it.

There are special room rates at the Marriott for the reunion (see Hotel Reservation below).

 We selected the Marriott Overland Park because of the low price, nice rooms, extensive free parking and the excellent and attractive open hospitality area that it provides.  We think that you will enjoy it as well.  You can see pictures of many areas of the hotel at its website  Under the large picture of the hotel on that page click on the black bar with the words “View Photo Gallery” to see the other photos.  See “Hotel Reservation” below on how to get the best room rate.

 Our plans for the weekend are very similar to those we had at the 50th reunion, less the Paseo tour.

                9 a.m. – 11 a.m.       Breakfast with friends or on your own in the Epicure restaurant in the Marriott
(breakfast buffet is available at $14 per person)

BANQUET RESERVATIONS:  We would appreciate receiving your reservation as early as possible in order to make sure that we can accommodate everyone.   Cost of the banquest is $50 per person (the actual charge from the hotel is $52 per person, the difference being made up from previous donations).  To register, print and complete the registration form on the website and mail the check separately.  Mailed items should be addressed to Paseo 57 Reunion c/o John Reece, 424 NE Thornberry Place, Lee's Summit, MO  64064.  Make your checks payable to "Paseo Class of 1957".

HOTEL RESERVATIONIf you plan to stay at the hotel, here is how to get the best rate for your room

1.  Telephone:  Call Marriott Overland Park 913-451-8000 and make a reservation for a room at the reunion.  Be sure to identify yourself as a member of the Paseo Class of 1957 and ask for the $84 room rate (taxes will raise the total to around $98.83).

When the page opens, you will see in the gray box to the left of the photo  that the dates for Friday and Saturday nights are already entered.  If you need to change one of these, do so before continuing. Click on  the red and white FIND button at the bottom of the gray box.


When the next page appears you will see a gray bar that says paseo hs c/o 1957.


Below the gray bar click on the circle to left of the $84.00 (there will be about $14.83 per night in tax added later).


A red and white CONTINUE button will appear at lower right.  Make any other changes you want on this page, then click  CONTINUE .


The next two pages are straightforward, with the CONTINUE button at bottom right (you may have to scroll down to find it).
